The new update for the drought monitor has been released today and there are some minor updates for the map!
A small area near Pine Ridge has been downgraded from Extreme (red color) to Severe (gold color) Drought. That is the only changes from last week’s drought monitor, but much of KOTA Territory remains in dire need for moisture with the extreme drought spanning across much of the southern half of the region. Rapid City is still in the severe drought category. Rain and snow forecasted for tonight will be beneficial!
